“Since I was little, I have always loved to deal with manual art, like sweing , I learned it from my mother. Then I studied Painting and Mechanography in Particular Academy. I still keep the titles, not from painting cause it was an elementary course (1965).

In 1995, I started to study how to create small figures using fibres from “malangueta” and “yarey” in an autodidactic way and then fix them in a base made of wood in order to simulate their natural environment , according to the type of figure: insects, reptiles, birds, etc. I reproduce them giving the shape and color as I watch them in pictures.
This work I do is known in countries like Spain, France, Italy, England, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil, Guatemala and others. In Canada I exposed in a Cuban fair.

“In all those places I have exposed my work in order to promote it and to be able to see in what scale they are accepted among the population. According to the characteristics of this kind of artesany, the pieces has been valorated by several personalities into the world of the art, in and outside the country, who considering the authenticity of the sculptures, have thought that they were real animals that had been disecated, qualifying all this as a master piece of art, taking into account the unknowledge about the existence of the ”artesany of reference” inside and outside of Cuba. “
