Getting
There: You can drive 2 different roads to reach Baracoa.
The most difficult is the one who is coming from Holguin,
take your time for this one, it`s old and full of wholes and very
bad, but worth it for side seeing and to do with any car. The other
road is the one Fidel promisses to build after the revolution, to
connect Baracoa with the rest of Guantanamo
Province. It goes from Guantanamo
to Baracoa, through the
mountains. After Cajobabo only 35 km...but beware, it`s a very difficult,
but beautiful road and it will take 1 hour at least!
Getting
Around: People who live in the mountains are doing their transport
with the little vehicles which shown at the picture. They go down
the mountain with a high speed, sometimes even pigs and goats are
beeing transported;) |
